Starting off our season strong with a win over Stanford swim club! Additionally we had a great turnout with over 70 swimmers which is over half our club! A big thank you to Stanford for hosting the meet and the "official" who sent us all off using their voice. Looking forward to racing throughout the rest of the season!
During Spring break, our national team of 25 swimmers traveled to Columbus, Ohio to compete at College Club Nationals. The women's team crushed it placing 3rd with only 9 swimmers and the men placed 7th for an overall placement of 5th out of 125 teams. We enjoyed eating pasta, cheering our teammates, and swimming fast!
We had a fun travel meet at the UCLA Invite! It was a big weekend: SCAB drove down from Berkeley to LA, competed, ate In N Out a lot, and returned home. Nonetheless, SCAB swam incredibly fast, cheered loudly, and had a great time. Some outstanding results:
Congrats to our National Team that placed 15th overall and 8th on the men's side at the 2022 CCS National Championships! Having one of the smallest teams at the meet, our performance was particularly impressive. We're eager to see what we can pull off next year.
We want to give a special thanks to all of our donors who made this trip possible as well as the Honng Family for supporting us with transportation! Amazing job at the UCLA Fall Invitational this weekend! We placed 5th out of 12 teams overall. Considering that we had half the amount of swimmers in comparison to the other clubs, we performed great! We'll get 'em next time. Our women took 5th, and men took 4th. Shoutout to all of the top 5 swims:
Amazing job at the UCLA Travel Meet this weekend! We placed 3rd out of 14 teams overall! Bad news: we lost to UCSD by ONE (1) point. (So we basically got 2nd.) We'll get 'em next time. Our women took 2nd, and men took 3rd. Shoutout to all of the top 4 swims:
Wow! What an amazing Scab-A-Thon! As a team, we raised over $2,500! This is so wonderful for our team, and we'll be able to put the money to good uses like travel meets, and beating Stanfurd! Huge shout out to our swimmers who swam a couple thousands of laps combined, and our sponsors, who are listed below:
The Swim Club at Berkeley is hosting its first ever Scab-A-Thon, a swimathon fundraiser this Sunday at Spieker Pool from 8:30-9:30am! You can sponsor any swimmer by lap, or pledge a total amount. We greatly appreciate your support.

Thank you to Cal Masters for hosting an amazing Big One practice this past Sunday! The CalM coaches ran a huge practice at Spieker pool, coaching 20 (!!) different lanes. What a great way to start our Superbowl morning! Photos by Sid Levy! (Unfortunately, the Sunday did not end well... go Niners. At least we got a good swim in!)
The Swim Club celebrated the end of our 2nd season this weekend at the CalM Holiday party and our team banquet! This fall, we did a lot of amazing things as a team, including hosting our first ever time trials, and attending our first travel meet at UCLA.
Looking forward to more meets when we come back in January 2020! For now, good luck on finals everyone! Our team competed at our first weekend travel meet a few weeks ago on Saturday, November 23 at UCLA! Our men's and women's teams both placed 5th out of 10 teams, leading us to 5th place overall.
Shout out to our swimmers for placing in the top 3 for their events:
